When installing an underfloor heating system, the perimeter strip ensures acoustic decoupling between the load-bearing layer (e.g., dry screed, traditional screed, CompactFloor products, etc.) and the wall. Furthermore, thanks to its flexibility, it can compensate for the longitudinal thermal expansion of the screed. The perimeter strip is self-adhesive, allowing for quick and easy installation.

The wet construction variant also features a sheet flap and, in combination with a separating layer, insulates the floor slab from the heating elements of the underfloor heating system.
